SpaceX Successfully Launches 500th Falcon 9 Mission
SpaceX marked a historic milestone with the successful launch of its 500th Falcon 9 mission, deploying 22 Starlink satellites into orbit and demonstrating the rocket's reusability for the 350th time.
SpaceX today celebrated the 500th successful launch of its Falcon 9 rocket, a milestone that underscores the company's dominance in the commercial space launch market. The mission, launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, deployed 22 Starlink internet satellites into low Earth orbit.
The first-stage booster used in this mission completed its 19th flight, making it the most-flown orbital-class rocket in history. After stage separation, the booster landed on the drone ship 'Just Read the Instructions' in the Atlantic Ocean, marking the 350th successful recovery of a Falcon 9 first stage.
The achievement highlights the economic transformation of the space industry, where reusable rockets have reduced launch costs by over 90%. SpaceX now operates more than 6,000 Starlink satellites, providing internet coverage to more than 4 million subscribers across 100 countries.
